Studio Under Construction

Our studio has been going through a remodel for this up and coming school year. We have created more space and more room for displaying our students masterpieces. I am so excited with the outcome. We have also created a seperate quiet space for tutoring and preparing for upcoming test and quizes when students may need extra help to prepare for a test. Pictures will soon be coming! Keep posted!

Reuse and Recycle Favorites

Reuse - Recycle

While organizing my reusable palstic containers last night, I found that the base of a circular cake tray makes the perfect pallet! It is segregated on the sides, and has a nice center area for mixing paints. Also so easy to yo snap a lid on and save for the next project. My kids are going to love this! My second favorite is the mayonaise jar with the snap top. Great for supplies. What reusable containers are your faves?

WannnaBee Creative Kid's

Children today don't have as many opportunities to experience a lot of art mediums, due to government budget cuts in our schools. The class I have offers many of the lost opportunities for children in art. My students are able to get techniques taught to them and explore different types of art through this class. Self expression through art is so important for children to help them express themselves and problem solve through art.

I offer up this class for kids that don't enjoy sports as an after school program. Too often children are signed up to go to a sports related after school program because that is all that is offered in their community. I hope to help fill that void in my community.
